Day 1: Chandigarh to Shimla
Your journey begins with a warm welcome at Chandigarh Airport or Railway Station, where our representative will assist you in boarding your transfer to Shimla. The drive, which takes approximately 3 to 4 hours, is dotted with scenic beauty. En route, you’ll stop at the famous Pinjore Gardens, a historic Mughal-style garden known for its symmetrical design and tranquil ambiance. Another scenic highlight is the Timber Trail, offering panoramic views of the surrounding hills and deep valleys.
As you reach Shimla, the former summer capital of British India, you’ll be captivated by its colonial charm and snow-covered Shivalik peaks. Later in the evening, take a relaxed stroll along The Mall and The Ridge — two of Shimla’s most iconic promenades. These open spaces not only offer spectacular mountain views but are also home to key landmarks such as the Neo-Gothic Christ Church, the elegant Tudor-style Library Building, the Jakhu Temple perched on a hilltop, the peaceful Sankat Mochan Temple, and the grand Indian Institute of Advanced Studies. Your overnight stay in Shimla provides a serene end to a day full of natural and cultural richness.
Day 2: Shimla to Kufri and onward to Manali
After breakfast, your day begins with a local sightseeing tour around Shimla and the surrounding hill stations. Drive through the lush Green Valley, known for its dense deodar and pine forests. You’ll then head to Kufri, a quaint town set at an altitude of 2,622 meters. Famed for its snow-covered slopes in winter and verdant beauty in summer, Kufri is also home to the Himalayan Nature Park and Indira Tourist Park. Along the way, you’ll pass by notable spots like Chini Bungalow and Fagu Valley, both offering postcard-perfect scenery.
In the afternoon, begin your picturesque drive toward Manali. As you travel through the hills, enjoy stopovers at Sundernagar Lake and Pandoh Dam, marveling at the man-made and natural beauty of the region. A visit to the Vaishno Devi Temple adds a spiritual touch to the journey, followed by a brief halt in Kullu. Known for its handwoven shawls, apple orchards, and thrilling river rafting, Kullu offers a unique blend of culture and adventure. You’ll arrive in Manali by evening and check in at your hotel for a restful overnight stay.
Day 3: Exploring Manali’s Local Treasures
Your morning in Manali begins with breakfast and a local sightseeing tour of this beautiful town nestled in the Kullu Valley. Start with a visit to the historic Hadimba Devi Temple, an architectural gem built in 1553 amidst cedar forests, famed for its unique pagoda-style roof and intricately carved wooden entrance.
Next, head to the Club House, a recreational center where you can unwind with indoor games, a reading corner, and a small restaurant offering snacks and hot drinks. The tour continues to the Tibetan Monastery and the peaceful Van Vihar park, a great spot to enjoy the natural surroundings. A short excursion will take you to the cascading Jogini Waterfalls, while visits to the Manu Temple and Vashisht Temple offer spiritual and cultural experiences — the latter being well-known for its natural hot springs. As evening sets in, explore the vibrant Mall Road of Manali, where shopping and local cuisine complete your day. Return to your hotel for the night.
Day 4: Solang Valley and Atal Tunnel Adventure
Following breakfast, set off for an adventurous day in Solang Valley — one of the most famous attractions near Manali. Surrounded by snow-draped peaks and lush meadows, the valley is a year-round destination for thrill-seekers. Depending on the season, you can enjoy a variety of activities including paragliding, skiing, snow scootering, horse riding, cable car rides, and even zorbing. For those who enjoy short hikes, a trek to Anjani Mahadev — a naturally formed ice lingam of Lord Shiva in winter — is a unique experience.
Continue the day with a scenic drive through the iconic Atal Tunnel, one of the world’s longest high-altitude tunnels. You’ll also explore nearby spots like Nehru Kund, Gulaba, Kothi Village, and the cultural Him Valley theme park, each offering a glimpse into the natural and traditional beauty of Himachal. After a day full of exploration and adventure, return to your hotel in Manali for a peaceful overnight stay.
